Privacy statement for AFS licence application
Your privacy
The information you give in this application helps ASIC assess whether or not we should grant you an Australian financial services (AFS) licence under the Corporations Act 2001, as amended by the Financial Services Reform Act 2001. We are empowered to collect this information under the Corporations Act 2001 and the Corporations Regulations (see in particular sections 350, 913A and 913B of that Act, and Regulation 7.6.03).
Some of this information we collect is made publicly available through ASIC's registers. Information in these registers includes those items in Regulation 7.6.05 of the Corporations Regulations.
Other information we collect in this application directly relates to the function or activity for which a licence is being sought. This information includes the proofs and evidences required for your licence application. We will only use such information for assessing your licence application, and will not use it for any other purpose, nor will we disclose it, unless with your consent or in other circumstances where such use or disclosure is permitted under the Privacy Act.
All documents you provide as required proofs and evidences for your licence application may be scanned into our DOCIMAGE system for retention by ASIC and will be kept secure and will not be made available to the public.
